Animal Farm is an allegorical novel by George Orwell that reflects events and people from the Russian Revolution, remaking them as characters in his own book. I will be relating certain events and characters of the book Animal Farm to the real life events and people during the Russian Revolution. One of the most important people in the Russian Revolution is Stalin, the dictator of the Soviet Union (Russia), who is known both as a villain and as a hero, for the ‘unethical’ events that had occurred while he was still in power, but also for the fact that he lead the Soviet Union to safety after numerous years. I will also be including the Bolsheviks, propaganda, democracy, and a brief summary of Orwell’s life in this website.
